Our Iceland Wedding Photography team has 2 starting prices: One for luxury elopements in Iceland and one for adventure weddings with guests in Iceland.

The basic package is based on our adventure wedding style schedules, which range from photography coverage between 12-18 hours (not the usual 6-8 as most cover).

What is our Iceland adventure wedding photography turnaround time?

Contractually we agree to ensure delivery of your lovely gallery of images 90 days or less.  But our usual turnaround and process goes like this… Previews shared from wedding day to 3 weeks after.  3-4 weeks after you get a super cool email from us with a link to a fun slideshow (a highlight reel with a fun song) or the full gallery.  Worst case, 4-6 weeks after your fantastic wedding day you will receive your gorgeous Iceland wedding photo gallery.  At the time the gallery is release we give you the option on how you would like to receive your images (digital download or mailed USB).  In either avenue they will be high resolution Jpegs and a personal “print release” will be emailed.

 

What gear does our Iceland wedding photography team use?

Our team only shoots with Nikon professional gear (D5’s, professional grade lenses, and SB-5000 creative lighting system) and at times a drone.  It’s the most rugged professional gear in the market.  It handles well in all temperatures, being bashed around as they hike, and when flashes fall down in the Icelandic wind.  Many of our team members have a background as adventure / travel photographers (Specifically skydiving, high altitude, and scuba diving photography) so they know and understand how to operate their gear in low and high pressure situations flawlessly.  They shoot in RAW and post process in high resolution Jpegs.

Who is Iceland Wedding Planner?

We are American, team of crazy detailed wedding planners and photographers who thrive on adventure and love!  Chasers of unique experiences and vintage champagne!  Our Iceland Wedding Planner team lives in Iceland (formally based in the tiny town of Vik Iceland).  And well, we rock at everything adventure and weddings, Duh!  =)

Serious note- We plan and photograph Iceland Adventure Weddings / Elopements in private and offbeat locations far away from the tourist locations!

Our team does not plan typical Iceland weddings or work with traditional couples.  So who is that?

• If you are looking for the church-to-reception type wedding day.
• You’re a couple who does not want to get wet/dirty on their wedding day (We have a “no prince/princess” policy!).
• You cannot see yourself braving Iceland’s unpredictable and extreme weather conditions… (Outside ceremony or bust!).
• Haven’t hiked in your life.

Iceland Wedding Planner begins in 2010 with a dream by Ann Peters (but her professional wedding photo company Photos By Miss Ann, began in 2005 so the girls got EXPERIENCE)!  Furthermore, she is a degreed logistics guru, professional photographer, adventure wedding planner, all-round travel adventurer, extreme sports enthusiast, vintage champagne collector, and even a former Iceland bride!  And most importantly, a seasoned entrepreneur, see all of her Brands.  So to say you’re in good hands, would be a understatement!

The once one woman show grew into a seasoned “A-Team” of super experienced wedding planners, talented Iceland wedding photographers, licensed super jeep drivers / guides, day of planners, stylists, photo editor, hair stylists, makeup artists, and a celebrant that is willing to climb mountains!

What is an Adventure Wedding or Adventurous Elopement?

Are you wondering what is an Adventure Wedding?  New to this concept?  Our Iceland adventure wedding day experience is typically 12-17 hours of unforgettable awesomeness!  Up to the challenge?

Our Experience

Here at Iceland Wedding Planner, we are a very detailed, adventurous, energetic team who have a passion for weddings and Iceland.  Our team has 20+ years of destination wedding photography and planning experience (specifically here in Iceland 15+ years).  Another fun fact… we have 25+ years in Logistics / Supply Chain Management experience!

So how did our Iceland Wedding Planner business begin?  Better story told over a glass of vintage champagne 😉  Short Story: Ann Peters (the owner) found Iceland in 2010 (thanks to the Eyjafjallajökull eruption) and became utterly obsessed!  I mean who wouldn’t be, there are 13 glaciers the climb, 1,000’s of waterfalls to find, and feels like another planet around every corner!

The very next year, she began planning an Iceland adventure wedding in 2011.  And then held a wedding to her first husband at the majestic Seljalandsfoss waterfall on April 14th 2012 (long before there were ropes, barriers, signs, cafes, and even  bathrooms there).  It’s fair to say that with tourism so low at that time (especially in the south of Iceland), it was also Iceland’s very first American style full day “adventure wedding.”

It was so shocking to locals that her 40+ person Iceland wedding ceremony even made the Icelandic News)!  All the Icelanders involved in the day, thought they were freaking nuts.  Outside wedding in April?  They rocked it!  After tons of f*ck ups with the vendors involved in their day that just didn’t get the adventure wedding concept… And witnessing first-hand the need for an Iceland Wedding Planner who not only spoke English well, but upholds a level of customer service and the high standards Americans demands, but also can flawlessly execute the dynamic of an adventure style wedding…

Iceland Wedding Planner was formally born in the second half of 2012!  Need into Niche, the best and most original businesses are made this way, eh?!  So our team truly know first hand, how epic of a country it is and how special it is for you to plan your destination wedding in Iceland!

Throughout the last decade, we have learned what our couples desire in an adventure wedding day, planner, and Iceland wedding photographer… Which really means providing an unforgettable EXPERIENCE from start to finish and ensuring the logistics and ever moving parts turn out flawlessly.  Now all that being said, we are SOOO FREAKING EXCITED to meet you!!

The actual adventure elopement was better than any traditional “tour” you’d go on in Iceland. We drove through rivers, up mountains, on the beach while jumping out at every location to take pictures. Touring the country while getting married was the best experience.
