Mukund came to our Iceland Wedding Planner team in hopes of planning an adventurous private proposal. Him and his soon to be fiancée Jinkal were visiting Iceland for a few days in November last year. And if you know anything about the winter months in Iceland, the weather can be nuts! Also, it can look like sunrise or sunset light all day. You know the kind that is all warm and glowy. And these two got lucky with a day that was full of the last for their cave proposal in Iceland!
Furthermore, caves often provide a secluded and intimate environment, away from the hustle and bustle of heavily trafficked tourist locations. This privacy allows you to focus solely on each other. Which in turn deepens your connection and creates a special moment that feels very personal and meaningful.
Iceland Cave Proposal
As sunrise appeared over the mountains, Mukund and Jinkal walked hand in hand ready to discover the Iceland proposal location. However Jinkal had no idea what was about to happen, as she just thought they were out on an adventure to explore offbeat locations in Iceland. As our Iceland proposal photographer got into position the surprise Iceland cave proposal begins with Mukund getting down on one knee!
Iceland Champagne Picnic
Next, the pair savored champagne in the cave. Truly an extraordinary blend of luxury and natural wonder. As they toasted their newly engaged status, they admired the historical formations and rugged volcanic rock walls around them. The soft glow of the morning ethereal light was the perfect ambiance. Between each sip they giggled, snuggled, and new this cave proposal is the start of a fabulous new chapter!
Exploring Icelandic Lake
This lakeside cave is made from palagonite tuff which is actually very soft rock. But it looks so amazing in when snow surrounds it as Mukund and Jinkal discover! Basking in the sun and the excitement from their cave proposal you could feel the positivity bursting from them! So incredible to witness!!
