Pure, delicate, and soft are all words that define a fresh layer of snow. The winter season is one of the most romantic times of the year and personally our favorite. It’s a season where snowy adventures are abound and the landscape transforms itself into a completely different appearance. It can generate a dreamlike feeling. On our last trip to Iceland we found this to be true when we were photographing romantic couple’s portraits on top of Iceland’s dramatic Dyrholaey Cliffs! The colder weather and snowflakes, encourages cuddling, kisses, and a childlike playfulness. Who doesn’t want those characteristics in their Iceland engagement, wedding or couples photos?
The majority of our clients are really adventurous by nature. But even that said there are few that are willing to brave the temperatures and play in the snow for their Iceland wedding or engagement session. Luckily we have several this year that are up to the challenge! In just a few days, we will be photographing a super sweet couple from Singapore, who are going to embrace the elements and get married in February in Iceland! They are holding their ceremony at one of our favorite Iceland country churches and holding their reception at one of our beloved hotels. We are so excited to share their adventure with you in a few weeks!
To tide you over until then, we will leave you with some snowy engagement session inspiration! One of our favorite Michigan couples, Ashleigh and Nate were adventurous enough to spend a few hours running around in the snow with us during the Midwest’s “snowmageddon.”
They are cute.
They are daring.
They are madly in love.
They were also published in the Trendy Bride Magazine- Enjoy!
