Welcome to Vik Iceland! This tiny town in South Iceland will most certainly surprise you. So many fabulous things to do! Also, super fun fact… Did you know the founder, Ann Peters is building her dream house at the top of the town by the iconic church?

Our Iceland Wedding Planner team was so excited to have Tory and Geoff experience this charming little town and the magic of July in Iceland. Meanwhile, the morning began pretty chill with our team photographer photographing the Iceland wedding dress and details while hair and makeup got Tory ready.

Following, the pair grabbed their go bags and shared a sweet first look before their highland vow renewal begins….

Icelandic Highland Vow Renewal

Renewing your wedding vows is a beautiful yet sentimental way to celebrate and reaffirm the love and commitment you’ve shared over the years. Nevertheless, whether you choose an intimate ceremony with just the two of you or a festive gathering with family and friends, a vow renewal is a heartfelt and meaningful way to honor your marriage! Having held a simple ceremony back in the USA during COVID, Tory and Geoff wanted to find their way to Iceland after things settled down to embark on an adventure together.

Since these two wanted to experience a private adventure day, our team design the perfect highland vow renewal! In fact, at the first location, they spoke their personal vows to each other and then explored after. So fabulous!!

Thriving on Adventure & Love

After venturing around the highland vow renewal waterfall Geoff and Tory went on a hike to their next waterfall. But the super awesome thing about the next waterfall is that is made of lava rock!! Such a fun contrast between the super green waterfall they renewed their vows at.

Additionally, when you think about Summer in Iceland what comes to mind? Nicer weather? Likely how GREEN everything is right? Everything just comes alive with color between June 15-August 15th. Lupines are blooming for half that time (~June 15 – July 15) too! This pair were keen to adventure together all around this vivid canyon following their highland vow renewal… How epic, right?!

Glacier Exploration

Meanwhile, on their highland vow renewal agenda, they hit up the glacier! Which fun fact, is considered another part of Iceland’s interior. To illustrate, this type of landscape looks and feels very moon like. Furthermore, being in the television and film industry our bride Tory was definitely intrigued and excited to hike around!

Icelandic Cliff Top Puffin Watching

During the month of July in Iceland, you’ll find alongside many of the oceanside cliffs in the South, puffin nests! Puffins are some of the cutest birds you’ll ever experience in Iceland. And seeing them as a little family is even more exciting to experience.

Therefore, it was important to Tory and Geoff to spend some time at the end of the day to look for puffins before dinner. Fair to say, they had so much fun watching them fly in/out of the nests!
