July 30th 2024

The morning of July 30th 2024, began with quiet ease between Daphne and Ben in their suite at Hotel Stracta.  However they did part ways as the beautiful bride began getting ready.  Next, our Iceland wedding photographer began photographing all of their lovely details.  For example, the brides dress and groom details were all thoroughly documented to begin the start of the story’s day.  The pair had around 10 guests join them on their highland waterfall wedding adventure.  Before loading into the super jeep for the day all the guests had their go bags ready in hand and posed for a quick photo!

Iceland Symbolic Wedding Ceremony Among the Highlands

How exciting the couple gifted their loved ones with a thrilling journey into the interior of Iceland!  Since the couple had previously had marriage paperwork completed, they chose to hold a symbolic wedding ceremony in Iceland.   At this secluded waterfall deep in the highlands, the pair thoughtfully said their personal vows to each other.   Fair to say the sound of cascading water created an inspiring soundtrack to their highland waterfall wedding.  Truly, no need for a traditional altar here as Iceland’s wilderness provided a setting more breathtaking than any venue could offer!  Next, following the ceremony the group toasted with bubbles to the newlyweds new chapter!

Once they finished their glasses of bubbles it was time to discover the private property waterfall more intimately.  Together hand in hand, Daphne and Ben savored every second of it’s beauty! Pretty sure the sheep nearby watching them from the cliffs loved watching them explore too!!

Exploring a “Hawaii-Like” Canyon

Meanwhile, did you know that there are several places in Iceland that give off Hawaii or Kauai vibes?  To illustrate, the next location on their Iceland wedding itinerary is definitely classified as one of them!  Here Daphne and Ben explored a picturesque canyon often compared to something out of Hawaii. Why you might wonder?  Well!  Lush green meets steep cliffs, and a stunning river flowing through lava rock!

Though Iceland and Hawaii seem worlds apart, this Hawaii-like canyon exploration proved that Iceland can surprise you with tropical-feeling beauty in its highlands.  Especially during Summer weather in Iceland!

Coffee and Icelandic Donuts at a Natural Cave

Next on their highland waterfall wedding schedule, our team planned a  lunch at a natural cave.  Packed lunches fit the schedule best alongside some Icelandic coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts.  Additionally, the group took time to discover the geological rich area!  The group left in two different super jeeps as the guests returned to the hotel while the couple continued on for more highland adventures… Perfect balance!

Waterfall Hiking in the Highlands

No Iceland highland wedding adventure would be complete without a bit of hiking!  Daphne and Ben couple spent part of the afternoon trekking through an area unknown by most.  Furthermore, this also allowed the newlyweds to spend time connecting during the hikes!  Even in late July, the weather was refreshingly cool especially when they made their way to the top of the waterfall!

High in the Interior of Iceland

Getting high in the interior of Iceland means venturing into a world of raw power and solitude.  Our 4×4 super jeep crossed rivers, black sand plains, and rugged terrain.  Truly the ultimate way to experience the country’s untamed beauty!  Be aware, this region is only accessible during certain months, making this July high waterfall wedding in Iceland ideal for couples seeking a once-in-a-lifetime adventure just like Daphne and Ben!

July 11th 2024 Vik Iceland

For their Vik elopement, Erin and Jake chose a cozy yet modern Vik-based hotel as their home base.  To illustrate, the Vik Apartments offer the perfect mix of privacy meets luxury.  Also, staying in the heart of Vík gave them easy access to our areas most breathtaking locations!  Additionally offering the convenience of a comfortable retreat after their adventures.  Many hotels in Vík feature floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean or mountain views, which is exactly the kind of romantic setting you want when waking up on your wedding day in Iceland.  Am I right?  After all, this is exactly why our #vikdreamhouse has floor to ceiling 180 degree views!

Now, their elopement began on a rainy July 11th 2024 morning.  The pair had a cozy time getting ready within their luxury apartment while our Iceland Wedding Planner team catered to them in every way they needed.  From the hair and makeup to the detail photos to even champagne to kick off the morning, they had it all!  When the super jeep arrived the soon to be newlyweds grabbed their “go bags” and loaded into the truck to begin their elopement journey…

Private Black Sand Beach Wedding Ceremony

Next, Erin and Jake love love love and maybe borderline obsessed with black sand beaches!  #ustoo!  And one of our favorites is a private property beach tucked far away from the busy touristy spots.  On this beach, there are incredible lava rock cliffs that showcase so much history!  Afterall, there are few places in the world that are as dramatic as Iceland’s black sand beaches.

Our Iceland Wedding Planner couple, exchanged vows on this stunning private black sand beach surrounded by the sound of crashing waves and the endless expanse of the North Atlantic Ocean.  One of things we love the most about this moment in time for Erin and Jake is that they were unapologetically themselves and did things they way they wanted… For example, Erin is 100% a stiletto gal and she rocked them like a BOSS on the beach before, during, and after their Vik elopement ceremony!

Vastness and Vows

Meanwhile, there is something incredibly symbolic about saying your vows against the backdrop of Iceland’s raw landscapes.  So what did that mean for Jake and Erin?  The newlyweds wanted to say their vows to each other by themselves, fully.  Therefore, our Iceland Wedding Planning and Photography team took them to another private black beach where they stood on the lava rock cliffs.

Fair to say, standing on the windswept shore, the couple felt small in the face of such beauty.  Which isn’t a fantastic feeling to have? For instance, the feeling of being part of something so much bigger?  Yet, they would likely say, their love was the anchor in the vastness around them.  Which is a perfect balance of vulnerability and strength is what also makes a Vik elopement oh so meaningful!

Waterfall Hike & Icelandic Hot Dog BBQ

After their intimate Vik elopement ceremony, the newlyweds laced up their boots for a sketchy hike to a hidden waterfall.  In fact, the roaring cascade created a dramatic photo backdrop for them and our local Iceland Elopement Photographer while also giving them a chance to soak in Iceland’s wildly crazy beauty together.  Additionally, this waterfall spot even came with a super cool natural cave to checkout!

In true Icelandic fashion, they capped off the return hike with an Icelandic hot dog BBQ.  A super fun delicious fun, casual way to celebrate their marriage with this unforgettable lunch experience!  Now hot dogs may sound simple, but in Iceland they’re a national treasure!  Especially when enjoyed in nature with the person you love most.

Hiking to a Private Ice Cave in Iceland for Vik Elopement Photos

Next, pretty sure the highlight of their Vik elopement adventure was a guided hike to a private ice cave near Vik.  Few couples can say they took wedding photos surrounded by shimmering blue ice walls.  However, in Iceland, these unique experiences are part of what makes elopements so extraordinary!

With crampons on, the couple explored the glacier’s hidden corners.  Further, their Iceland wedding photographer, captured jaw-dropping photos that will be treasured for a lifetime, truly!  This is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime adventure that makes choosing a Vik elopement worth it, right?!

June Wedding in Vik

June in Iceland is ideal for folks who crave action packed days.  To illustrate, the long daylight hours stretch endlessly and the landscapes are alive with color!  Which let’s be honest… For adventurous couples, it’s the perfect month to say “I do” in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth!  << Enter Brandon and Joan >>  This pair took their waterfall wedding vows to another level…

First, it all begins early in the morning with our local Iceland wedding photographer crafting the perfect setups for Joan’s wedding dress.  Second, the pair had a few of their loved ones join them as they got ready and for the journey.  Third, as soon as the super jeep arrived the group grabbed their “go bags” and loaded to embark!

Highlands and Icelandic Lupine…

The day began with a drive into the Icelandic Highlands, where purple Icelandic lupine roll across the hills and valleys.  The flowers were in peak bloom, truly creating a dreamy backdrop against glacial rivers.  Meanwhile, the couple took time to wander through the blooms, hand in hand, taking in the quietness of the Highlands before their waterfall wedding vows.

Next, the main event took place at a very hard to get to and secluded private waterfall in a narrow canyon.  Furthermore, the group was surrounded by the rumble of falling water as Brandon and Joan exchanged their waterfall wedding vows.  Additionally, the group kicked off this new chapter for the newlyweds with bubbles!  How fabulous, right?

After their waterfall wedding vows the group journey to the private side of Dyrhólaey Black Sand Beach.  Here waves crashed dramatically against a towering sea arch.  For example, the contrast of dark volcanic sands and the bride’s flowing dress created cinematic moments at every turn, truly!  100% sure this location is perfect for couples who want both natural drama and serene romance in their Iceland wedding photos!

Foggy Highland Discovery

As the morning turned to afternoon, the adventure continues with venturing deep into the Highlands… Meanwhile they were met by a rolling blanket of fog.  But then again that is the weather in Iceland for you, ever changing!  However, instead of obscuring the view, they chose to look at the experience as adding a layer of mystery… In fact, some might even say that this foggy Highland discovery gave the couple the sense they’d stepped into a ghost story!

The Morning of August 2nd 2023

Upon arriving to the hotel, Kendra and Evan gifted their guests with welcome bags complete with water bottles to fill up on their wedding day journey.  Next, the actual wedding day began with a buzz of excitement at the fabulous Hotel Vík.  Our hair and makeup artists along with our Vik wedding photographer got right to work around 5:30am.  Getting Kendra camera ready and capturing all of the beautiful details such as the Iceland wedding dress.

Guests gathered in the lobby before 8am, eager for the adventure that lay ahead.  Awaiting them were super jeeps… Truly icons of Icelandic travel, ready to navigate the challenging terrains of the Highlands!  Spirits were high as everyone set off, go bags in hand, to celebrate Kendra and Evan August Iceland wedding in true adventurous Icelandic style.  But before the couple joined the group, they had a few moments alone for a first look!

Highland Waterfall Ceremony: Timeless as the Landscape

First, after an awe-inspiring highland drive the ceremony stop was a secluded highland waterfall.  Second, upon arrival our Iceland Wedding Planner team went to work creating a natural altar.  Third, as the water cascaded behind them, Kendra and Evan exchanged vows surrounded by the raw beauty of Iceland.  Fourth, the sound of the waterfall, combined with the emotion of the moment, created an atmosphere that was both intimate and grand!  Fifth, guests marveled at how perfectly the setting reflected the couple’s adventurous spirit!  This August Iceland wedding was one for the record books!!

Katla Glacier: Ice, BBQ, and Icelandic Geology

Meanwhile, the August Iceland wedding group’s journey continued to the Katla Glacier outlet.  There, they ventured into the heart of ancient ice, exploring glistening crevasses and learning about Katla Geopark.  Also to add a touch of local flavor, everyone enjoyed a traditional Icelandic hot dog BBQ.  A simple yet delicious way to incorporate Icelandic culture.  The combination of icy surroundings and warm food truly create a memorable experience for all!

Reynisfjall Mountain: Puffins and Panoramic Views

Additionally, after leaving the glacier, the super jeeps climbed to the top of Reynisfjall Mountain.  From this breathtaking vantage point, guests took in stunning views of Reynisfjara’s iconic black sand beach and basalt sea stacks.  Next, adding to the magic of the moment, puffins swooped and nested along the cliffs, providing a very close encounter of Icelandic wildlife!

Champagne and Chocolate in a Hidden Canyon

As the adventure portion of the day neared its conclusion, the group made one final stop: a private canyon on a secluded property. Here, the celebration took on a sophisticated touch with a Perrier-Jouët champagne toast. Guests sipped brut champagne from an artistic display of glasses and savored fresh fruit and handcrafted Icelandic chocolates. The canyon’s tranquility and beauty offered the perfect setting to reflect on the incredible day so far.

An Elegant Evening Back at The Berg

Returning to Hotel Vík, the group had time to refresh and rest before gathering again for a semi-private four-course meal.  This August evening in Iceland was a perfect blend of Icelandic tradition and modern elegance.  Likely culminating in the “cutting” of a traditional Icelandic wedding cake called a kransakaka.  Furthermore, the intimate Iceland wedding dinner provided an ideal ending to a day filled with adventure and romance.

Summer Wedding Vibes

During Summer in Iceland, in the South we have about 20ish hours of daylight.  Whereas in the North, they have 24 hours.  To illustrate, when our Iceland Wedding Planner hairstylist and photographer arrive on the morning of July 10th 2023 daylight is abundant.  The weather was so fab Austin’s wedding dress and Ben’s groom details were photographed outside.  Next, shortly before the 8 embarked on their daring Iceland wedding journey, Austin and Ben met for a first look.

Mishaps Make More Memories

Have you ever heard of the term, #superjeeplife?  It’s 100% a thing and real life for us big truck lovers!  Although, our Iceland Wedding Planner team plans for anything and everything that can happen on our experience driven wedding days we do not carry a spare tire in our “go bags.”  While on the way to Austin and Ben’s daring Iceland wedding at a waterfall, the back tire blew.  However, it was unfixable with the repair kit we had mainly because the tear was from the a massive one from the rim.  But seriously no stress as soon as our talent driver realized it another tire was on the way.  Therefore, we were able to use the time to laugh, create, and play in the lupines!

July 10^th 2023 Iceland Wedding Ceremony at a Waterfall

The couple began their journey with an intimate ceremony at a secluded Icelandic waterfall.  Truly a location chosen for its peaceful atmosphere and unforgettable views.  With having their closest family with them in tow, it was important to Austin and Ben that they have an connective ceremony.  Additionally, being at a private waterfall also allowed them to connect everyone to the pure side of nature.  After the guests were seated our Icelandic Pastor centered the experience, allowed them to exchange rings, and the newlyweds sealed the deal with a kiss!  Perfect end for their daring Iceland wedding ceremony!!

Exploring the private waterfall is a highlight for everyone on the daring Iceland wedding adventure.  In fact, following the ceremony the group fills up their water bottles in the river.  That way they can taste how incredible Icelandic spring water is first hand!  Yum!!  …and how dreamy are these two as they venture around?!

Furthermore, the roaring waves of the North Atlantic provide a symphony of sounds.  Meanwhile, to warm up, the group enjoyed steaming cups of hot chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, and locally-made donuts.  Fully being immersed in Icelandic charm.  Truly, the perfect way to recharge and soak in the surreal beauty of the landscape during their daring Iceland wedding adventure.  Hello five senses experience!!

Glacier Adventure: Hiking to an Ancient Ice Arch

No daring Iceland wedding adventure is complete without an encounter with a glacier!  The couple and the majority of their guests embarked on a hike to an awe-inspiring ice arch at Katla Glacier outlet.  For instance, this natural marvel, sculpted by the elements over time, provided a jaw-dropping backdrop for wedding photos.

First, the Misty and Tom decided to get ready today and not do a first look.  Second, our hair and makeup team and Iceland wedding photographer got right to work.  Third, how fabulous is Misty’s wedding dress?  Fourth, once everyone was ready it was time to load into the super jeep for the day!  So with “go bags” in hand they embarked on the adventure…

Iceland Private Waterfall Wedding

Arriving to the Iceland private waterfall wedding ceremony location, the groupw as all smiles.  Further, the pair had Tom’s sister and brother in law as their 2 guests.  Also in tow was our super fun pastor, Iceland wedding photographer, and video team.

Additionally, their nature based ceremony, included exchanging rings, a kiss, and an Icelandic blessing at the end.  Excatly what felt like “them” to Misty and Tom.  Following their ceremony, they celebrated with bubbles and a taxidermied puffin!  However, before they left this fabulous private spot, they enjoyed it thoroughly by hiking all around.

Lush Canyon Exploration

The weather in Iceland is totally perfect during their special day!  For example, there were endless 360 degree views including of a glacier outlet.  Next on their agenda is venturing to a hidden canyon.  Not sure which images we like more… From the ground or some our Iceland elopement photographers drone?!

The Magic of Icelandic Mountains

Mountains in Iceland hold all kinds of magic and mystery.  For instance, the ridges, colors, shapes and vibes are all different depending on the mountain.  Such fabulous photo opportunities!

Journey into the Icelandic Highlands

Driving into the Highlands of Iceland is a thrilling time!  Truly a moment in time these two and their guests will never ever forget.  Another Iceland private waterfall wedding location was next on their adventure wedding schedule.  …and this one for our Iceland Wedding Planner team is a favorite!

Mid-afternoon is always an ideal time to renergize with coffee, donuts, and an iconic highland view!  Wow-wee was it grant too as you’ll see below from Misty and Tom’s Iceland wedding photos.

Experience Driven Adventure Wedding

After facing her fear of heights by exploring the ridges of a very vivid canyon Misty was rewarded with a shot of Icelandic moonshine.  Yes, it’s totally a thing, look it up.  Furthermore, the colors of this canyon are so vivid during summer in Iceland.  Such an ideal location to explore after their Iceland private waterfall wedding ceremony!

Iconic Iceland Countryside Landmark: Pylsi & Plysa

Additionally, it’s no secret that our Iceland Wedding Planner team is not a fan of tourist location.  However, we are fans of special requests and iconic countryside landscapes that some with a side of laughs.  Allow me to introduce you to Plysi + Plysa, the iconic hot dogs of the town of Hvolsvöllur.  Therefore, the newlyweds popped a champagne split and toasted to the other couple!

Wide Waterfall Discovery

Last on the formal adventure portion of the July wedding in Iceland is a super wide waterfall.  It’s an enchanted area feels alive.  Tom even took the opportunity to skip some stones on the sweet little river!  Truly an ideal way to end their Iceland private waterfall wedding journey, right?  But wait…

Iceland Wedding Dinner, Cake & Sunset!

Because believe it or not, that’s not the actual end to their iceland private waterfall wedding day…  Firstly, the group enjoyed a delicious and slightly decorated dinner within the Stracta Bistro.  Secondly a table and kransakaka were put outside to do the wonderful tradition that comes with it.  Third, the newlyweds traveled for an iconic midnight sun photo opportunity and wow-wee was it worth it!

The Charm of Small Icelandic Towns

Welcome to Vik Iceland!  This tiny town in South Iceland will most certainly surprise you.  So many fabulous things to do!  Also, super fun fact… Did you know the founder, Ann Peters is building her dream house at the top of the town by the iconic church?

Our Iceland Wedding Planner team was so excited to have Tory and Geoff experience this charming little town and the magic of July in Iceland.  Meanwhile, the morning began pretty chill with our team photographer photographing the Iceland wedding dress and details while hair and makeup got Tory ready.

Following, the pair grabbed their go bags and shared a sweet first look before their highland vow renewal begins….

Icelandic Highland Vow Renewal

Renewing your wedding vows is a beautiful yet sentimental way to celebrate and reaffirm the love and commitment you’ve shared over the years.  Firstly, it’s an opportunity to reflect on your journey together.  Secondly, to acknowledge the challenges and triumphs.  Thirdly, to make new promises for the future.

Nevertheless, whether you choose an intimate ceremony with just the two of you or a festive gathering with family and friends, a vow renewal is a heartfelt and meaningful way to honor your marriage!  Having held a simple ceremony back in the USA during COVID, Tory and Geoff wanted to find their way to Iceland after things settled down to embark on an adventure together.

Since these two wanted to experience a private adventure day, our team design the perfect highland vow renewal!  In fact, at the first location, they spoke their personal vows to each other and then explored after.  So fabulous!!

Thriving on Adventure & Love

After venturing around the highland vow renewal waterfall Geoff and Tory went on a hike to their next waterfall.  But the super awesome thing about the next waterfall is that is made of lava rock!!  Such a fun contrast between the super green waterfall they renewed their vows at.

Additionally, when you think about Summer in Iceland what comes to mind?  Nicer weather? Likely how GREEN everything is right?  Everything just comes alive with color between June 15-August 15th.  Lupines are blooming for half that time (~June 15 – July 15) too!  This pair were keen to adventure together all around this vivid canyon following their highland vow renewal… How epic, right?!

Glacier Exploration

Meanwhile, on their highland vow renewal agenda, they hit up the glacier!  Which fun fact, is considered another part of Iceland’s interior.  To illustrate, this type of landscape looks and feels very moon like.  Furthermore, being in the television and film industry our bride Tory was definitely intrigued and excited to hike around!

Undoubtedly, what summer highland vow renewal would be complete without experiencing a black sand beach?!  None!  Moreover, Geoff and Tory strolled along the beach hand in hand.  After all, who wouldn’t take all of the these gorgeous historical vibes in!  Hello ancient lava!!

Icelandic Cliff Top Puffin Watching

During the month of July in Iceland, you’ll find alongside many of the oceanside cliffs in the South, puffin nests!  Puffins are some of the cutest birds you’ll ever experience in Iceland.  And seeing them as a little family is even more exciting to experience.

Therefore, it was important to Tory and Geoff to spend some time at the end of the day to look for puffins before dinner.  Fair to say, they had so much fun watching them fly in/out of the nests!

Jessica + Justin

From a Red Wings hockey game first date in 2016 to falling deeper in love in a self-drive around Iceland these two more in common than not.  Therefore, after their relationship evolves with blending their pups together, road trips to hockey games and hiking.  Next in 2021, they were on a trip Kauai hiking Waimea Canyon which is the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.  It was there that Justin decided to propose cliffside.  A year later, they were ready to embark on planning their June glacier wedding adventure!

Wedding in Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Since Jessica and Justin had been to Iceland before, they wanted to hold their wedding in the highlands.  A place that is full of unpredictability and mystery.  Additionally, the town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur was the perfect waypoint for this exciting wedding expedition.

June 23rd 2023 begins a bit dark, foggy and stormy as the weather in Iceland can be even during summertime.  Our Iceland hair and makeup team, photographer and videography teams were all hard at work.  Before loading into the super jeeps, the group packed their go bags and welcome bags.  Then they loaded in to formally begin Jessica and Justin’s June glacier wedding!

June Glacier Wedding

No matter the time of year, heading up to an offbeat glacier outlet is a journey.  Which is perfect for the experience driven wedding Justin and Jessica desired.  After turning off the main road, the adventure elevated.  Guests had no idea where they were going but trusted it was somewhere epic since they’ve come to celebrate Justin and Jessica.

Upon arriving to the glaciers edge, our Iceland Wedding Planner team immediately went to work with ceremony setup.  One of the many things to know when planning a glacier wedding is about quick sand and how rivers max overflow in the rain.  But the good news is our team is always doubly prepared for anything and everything to ensure all runs smooth.

Once their ~20 guests settled into their seats and the couple took to the front in front of the glacier waterfall, fog rolled in.  Honestly, it made their June glacier wedding ceremony feel like we were on a completely different planet!  The pair exchanged rings and a kiss making them newlyweds!

Summer Iceland Ice Cave Discovery

Following the June glacier wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and a few of their more adventures guests hiked up to our private ice cave.  The wind and rain got a bit more extreme, but our team got the couple in and out safely.  Additionally, our Iceland wedding photographer crafted some incredible shots!  How epic is this Summer ice cave?!

Wild & Rainy Champagne Toast

Iceland at it’s finest is wild.  In fact, it’s within those moments you’ll likely get addicted to adventuring throughout our diverse landscapes.  Although the weather was unruly and one of those token, “everything I own is wet” kind of days they still enjoyed a beautiful champagne toast waterfall side.

The Calm After the Storm

As they descended from the Icelandic Highlands, the fog cleared, skies elevated, and the rain stopped.  One of those calm after the storm moments where the group was able to stop and enjoy the scenes with hot coffee and donuts.  What a lovely moment, truly!

Iceland Wedding Reception at Hotel Klaustur

Upon returning to the Hotel Klaustur the group had time to rest and refresh.  Next, they reconvened to enjoy a private dinner together as a group.  Our fabulous stylist Tinna who made the couples wedding flowers, crafted a very earthy yet elegant Iceland wedding dinner setup.

The newlyweds kransakaka was decorated with orchids in honor of Jessica’s mother.  Dinner was several courses and the night ended with the tradition that comes along with the Iceland wedding cake!  Soo freaking fun and memorable!

Erin + Ben

Shall we journey back in time to the Summer of 2010?  Heck yes!  Because that is when Erin and Ben’s love story begins… Thanks to Chick’s Oyster Bar they met!  Very quickly into their relationship they realized both thrive on traveling and on embarking on unconventional experiences.

Then fast forward to April 2022 when they took an adventurous trip to Portugal.  Ben proposes in natural cave with a stunning black diamond ring!  Additionally, when the pair went to start wedding planning, they consulted their bucket list!  Iceland was at the top and Google introduced them to our experience driven wedding adventures so it was a perfect match.  So bring on the Summer waterfall wedding!

July 4^th 2023

The morning of July 4th 2023 began in the small Southern town or Vik with lots of sunshine and good vibes!  Ben and Erin got ready together while our Iceland wedding hair and makeup team got to work!  Once the super jeeps pulled up it was time to grab “go bags” and load in to embark on the Summer waterfall wedding adventure!!!  Woohoo!!

Summer Waterfall Wedding Ceremony

Next, the group ventured into the Iceland highlands for an exciting drive to the Summer waterfall wedding ceremony location!  On arrival, the group was in complete awe over the beauty of the waterfall.  After our Iceland Wedding Planner team setup the ceremony the guests took their seats.

Erin and Ben decided to handle their Iceland Marriage Paperwork in the USA before they came.  Therefore, one of their fabulous guests performed their symbolic ceremony.  To illustrate, it was a heartfelt ceremony which included vows, a handfasting, exchange of rings, and a kiss to kick off the celebration!

Bubbles and Babbling Brooks

Following the ceremony, bubbles were shared with a sweet toast to the newlyweds.  Our Iceland wedding photographer captured all of the family and friends compositions.  After, the newlyweds enjoyed a tiny bit of alone time by exploring the waterfall all around it.  And how stunning are their Summer waterfall wedding photos?!

Magnificent Mountain & Glacier Views

Seeing a variety of iconic landscapes is always high priority for our Iceland Wedding Planner couples.  For instance, the vast majority value experiences and having the opportunity to be introduced to landscapes that most locals do not even get the chance to see!  So on with the dynamic Summer waterfall wedding schedule… Next, the group went through more highland landscapes to discover more…

Cliff Exploring and Puffin Searching

After the Summer waterfall wedding highland journey, it was time to head up to the top of an iconic mountain!  There the group searched for puffins and hiked along the cliffs.  July is a ideal month to spot puffins along these cliffs.  Adding a few fabulous Iceland wedding photos along the way was the cherry on top too!

Don’t worry these two and their guests weren’t done in the highlands yet!  In fact, they ventured into another section which offered another fantastic opportunity for Summer waterfall wedding photos!  Oh la la and this canyon is a stunner and experience driven… First, you hike.  Second, you cross rivers by foot.  Third, you can take a break and refill your water bottles in any stream or waterfall here as it is all fresh water!  Fourth, a slightly sketchy hike will lead you closer to the waterfall and take your breath away in the process.

Black sand beaches in Iceland are almost as abundant as the waterfalls.  Meanwhile, it was important to Erin and Ben they experience this iconic sea arch beach which is on private property.  And we cannot blame them as it is incredibly lovely!!

Small Wedding Group Dinner in Iceland

Once the experience portion of the day was complete the Summer waterfall wedding group had a chance to rest and fresh before they gathered for a low key dinner.  They were tucked away in a semi-private area of a local restaurant in Vik and delighted in a 3 course meal which included a traditional Iceland wedding cake too!  But wait folks that’s not all…

Sunset Exploration on the edge of the Highlands

Since planning a Summer waterfall wedding in Iceland means lots of daylight… That means going back out after dinner for sunset wedding photos is 100% a thing!  Ben and Erin still had energy left to head back our with our Iceland elopement photographer and the photos are so inspiring!
