Iceland Rainy Wedding Locations – Iceland Wedding Planner

Iceland Glacier Elopement: Britt + James

Iceland Wedding Planner — Tue, 28 Jun 2016 05:39:23 +0000

Britt + James reached out to me specifically looking for an Iceland elopement that would be crazy fun, unlike anything they had ever experienced or seen, and far far far away from the typical tourist locations.

#EasyButton- Totally what we, here at Iceland Wedding Planner specialize in! We delivered a 16 hour adventurous Iceland wedding day and throughout the day we saw 0 tourists (and it was the 28th of May!). How did we do that? Because our locations are offbeat, exclusive, and most times private, which then translates to you as an unforgettable wedding EXPERIENCE in Iceland, not just a wedding day.

One of the beautiful things (and sometimes challenging) about Iceland is the ever changing weather conditions. You must embrace this. For Britt + James, playing in the rain during their Iceland elopement was part of the exciting wedding day journey!

Pretty sure, these two will also go down as one of the most adventurous couples, EVER. Have you ever seen a bride climb a glacier in a wedding dress? …I mean like the whole gamut -crampons and ice picks?! Brittany, had no fear and she conquered that glacier. After their glacier expedition, they had a BBQ in an ice cave…. Who does that?! Our kickass Iceland wedding couples, that’s who!

One of my favorites from Britt + James romantic Icelandic elopement was this quite moment they shared in a gorgeous canyon.

Okay, so maybe I lied, I also REALLY SWOONED when I witnessed the beautiful stolen kisses in front of this waterfall too!

There were so many amazing images from their elopement in Iceland, it was frankly hard to choose some to share with you today! But, I tried- so enjoy!

Iceland Winter Wedding Anniversary

Iceland Wedding Planner — Sun, 14 Feb 2016 06:00:59 +0000

Not only is today February 14th – Valentines Day, but it’s also Marc + Paul’s 1st Iceland Wedding Anniversary!

I can hardly believe it’s been a year today that Paul + Marc held one of the most memorable adventure weddings I have had the pleasure of planning and photographing! These two endured one of the windiest and wettest wedding days EVER. Best Part: They did nothing but SMILE and LAUGH their way through it! They along with their 50 guests were brilliant adventurers throughout the incredible 18 hour adventure wedding day!

Do you remember their amazing Iceland wedding in a cave or how about their frigidly awesome Iceland Pre-Wedding Session? You may also recall their wedding was also featured by MyWedding.com, Scottish newspaper: The Sun, and was also voted into the Top 5 Real Weddings for 2015! See here =)

Gentlemen, Happy Anniversary! I know you’re already Iceland addicts, so I look forward to seeing you again soon on your next visit to the Land of Fire + Ice! ?

Iceland Wedding Planner — Wed, 28 Oct 2015 00:10:00 +0000

When romance and adventure collide, what happens?

You have an amazing moment in time that stands still. It gives you goosebumps when you recall it days, weeks, years later. It happens and my amazing clients, Sarah + Sean from Oklahoma are perfect examples of it! Today I share with you Part 2 of their beautiful Icelandic elopement. Did you see their marvelous wedding ceremony and part of their astounding Iceland wedding portraits last week? If not go back to Part 1, here.

The second half of their romantic Iceland elopement brought not one, but TWO dreamy waterfalls, majestic mountains, Iceland’s most powerful subglacial volcano, and a cliff line view that cannot be replicated anywhere, seriously! So all that being said, I must warn you… there will be lots of SWOONING ahead so watch out!

Iceland Wedding Photos: Sarah + Sean

Iceland Wedding Planner — Mon, 19 Oct 2015 20:05:00 +0000

On Thursday, August 27^th, 2015 I had the honor of planning and photographing an idyllic Icelandic elopement for a super sweet couple who hail from Oklahoma. Please allow me to introduce you to Sarah + Sean!

Right from the very beginning of contacting me, Sarah let me know that as a couple they value: Travel & Adventure. …heck yes, our ideal clients!

They chose to forgo a local wedding in their home state so they could turn their focus fully to each other and go on an adventurous day the two of them would remember forever. Can I get an “Awwww” folks?! Serious sweetness. Their intentions were pure, passionate, and they were absolutely at home in the dramatic Icelandic landscape during their elopement adventure.

Don’t be fooled by the image header of captivating blue skies… Their summer Iceland wedding day went like this: Drizzle -> Rain -> Downpour of Rain -> Overcast -> Partly Sunny -> Steady Light Rain -> Blue Skies -> Cloudy -> Rain. Sounds about right for a 17 hour adventure wedding day in Iceland! But don’t worry, we have THE BEST clients! …because these two just embraced and rolled with the unpredictability as you will see =)

Today I share with you Part 1 of their remarkable elopement in Iceland images, compliments of Photos by Miss Ann. Stay tuned next time for Part 2 of their adventurous Icelandic elopement. Did someone say Iceland glacier wedding portraits?! I plead the fifth
